What I do
I’m an artist, so a little quirky and can be a little silly. I am very straight forward about my business and love questions and clarifying up front. I love people, and documenting their life’s milestones and events. I love landscapes and will use backdrops for nature or people shots…
I will tell it to you straight; my mom didn’t give me much of a poker face, so you can pretty much read my facial expressions, constantly. I’ll have fun with you and may ask you to do a couple of silly things for a great reaction moment. I’m not everyone’s cup of tea, but if you have a little edge to you and an appreciation for art, then I’m all yours. I live for emotion, naturally moving with you to capture the laughs, grins and silent romance. I will very gently direct when needed, and strive to create art out of those candid moments– while throwing in the traditional shots here and there. “We all have Grandma that wants those shots.”
I love hot sauce, all kinds, coffee, chocolate and red wine. Most of all I love my two little girls and my guy. They make me who I am and yes, I love my job. I am an animal advocate, especially of the ocean and a little bit of a tree hugger for our local lands. I graduated from California Polytechnic State University in Landscape Architecture with certain honors and came out a photographer, who knew!
I follow my heart and will try and understand yours. Above all, I am here to uncover your story. To connect with you and document where you are in this big world at this moment in time, and to celebrate being alive.
How I do it
I come from film, so I define my photography as Fine Art, film-styled photography. I love color and black and whites and love to create artistic fine art shots that best tell YOUR STORY candidly and intimately!
I love to connect with you, my clients, and get to know who you are. What makes you smile, laugh and if you’re a couple, I want to know your “STORY OF US”! How did you meet? Your favorite hobby together? etc.
When photographing, I flow naturally with you to uncover the natural moments rather than forcing any shot. I will give gentle direction while also grabbing details in the moment.

I am born and raised in Ventura, Ca. Whether I’m photographing people on our coastline, capturing vast landscapes or photographing events, I have a love for creating unique photos that visually speak volumes.
